The Empowering Hive offers evidence-based therapies provided by a committed team of professionals who understand the needs of neurodiverse young people and children with autism.
Occupational Therapy is a critical support for children with autism, aimed to develop independence and functional capacity at home, school and social settings.
Pyschology is an important support for young people with autism. It focuses on understanding and regulating one’s own emotions, and the emotional reactions and responses in others.
Play & Dramatherapy helps individuals explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences through storytelling, improvisation and role-play.
Speech Therapy (or Speech Pathology) is recommended from an early age with children with autism. Speech therapy helps develop communication skills, social interaction, articulation and understanding language.
Our holiday therapy groups are designed for school-aged children with common interests to work towards personal goals such as emotional regulation, social participation and anxiety.
The Hive’s Psychologists, Speech Therapists and Occupational Therapists are qualified to conduct and report on a range of assessments including Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – 2nd edition (ADOS-2).

The Empowering Hive is a NDIS Registered Provider and Registered Charity offering therapeutic supports to participants under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). We also provide therapy on a fee-for-service basis for private clients and families, and those who do not have access to the NDIS.
